Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Credit Transfer & Training Needs Analysis

At Phoenix Academy, we recognise that learners come with diverse work, life, and study experiences. As part of our enrolment process, we offer a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to assess your existing knowledge, identify any skills gaps, and create a tailored learning plan.

You may be eligible for:

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): If you have workplace or life experience that meets the outcomes of a unit or qualification, you can apply to have these competencies formally recognised—saving you time and study load.
  • Credit Transfer:If you’ve completed equivalent units at another Registered Training Organisation (RTO), you can apply for direct credit and won’t need to repeat that learning.

RPL and Credit Transfer applications are assessed by qualified staff using a structured process, including competency conversations, evidence review, and if necessary, gap training.

To explore RPL or Credit Transfer:

  • Ask our staff at enrolment
  • Download our RPL Information Pack and Application Form
  • Submit your evidence or academic transcripts as early as possible

Phoenix Academy is committed to ensuring fair, transparent, and efficient assessment processes for all applicants.
