Free English Class Trial Terms and Conditions

Effective as of 1st June 2020

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY AND IN FULL. THEY CONTAIN CERTAIN CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS ON THE AVAILABILITY AND USE OF THE PHOENIX ACADEMY FREE TRIAL CLASS OFFER, INCLUDING WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOUR FREE TRIAL PERIOD ENDS.

Introduction.

Phoenix Academy (“Phoenix”)  is pleased to offer the Free Trial Class Offer (the “Free Trial Class Offer“) is made available by Phoenix (as defined in the Phoenix Academy CORE Terms and Conditions of Use (“Phoenix Terms of Use“).

The offer.

The Free Trail Class Offer entitles you access to courses provided by Phoenix Academy – a form of Full Fee paid English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS), as defined in the Phoenix Terms of Use, (the “General English Course (GEC) and Academic English Program (AEP“):

(A) for a one day trial period (the “Free Trial Period“); and

(B) without charge,

from the moment that you activate the Free Trial Period by submitting your details through the registration process.

By submitting your payment details: (i) you accept and agree to these terms and conditions (the “Free Trial Class Offer“); and (ii) acknowledge and agree to the Phoenix Terms of Use. Any information that we may collect and process under this offer will be done in accordance with the Phoenix Academy Privacy Policy.

Duration and cancellation.

Phoenix reserves the right to modify or terminate this Free Class Trial Offer at any time and for any reason. After such time, Phoenix shall not be obligated to redeem any further attempts to take up this offer.

After the Free Trial Period, you are able to enrol into the Phoenix Academy courses as a paid-for service via your account.

Eligibility

In order to receive this Free Trial Class Offer, users must satisfy the conditions listed at (A)-(C) below (each an “Eligible User“). You must:

(A) be new to the Phoenix Academy Central Online Registration & Enrolment (“CORE”) Service. 

(B) provide Phoenix with your current and valid personal information.

(C) pay for any courses directly to Phoenix Academy and not through a third party (e.g., not through a reseller or education agent).

Eligible Users may only redeem the Free Trial Class Offer once – previous users may not redeem the offer again. The Phoenix CORE service may not be available on certain personal devices.

Technical Requirements for Online LIVE Interactive Stream Delivery

To participate in our “LIVE” interactive online lessons you will need:

  • A Personal Computer/laptop or compatible smartphone
  • An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
  • A webcam or HD webcam – built-in or USB plug-in

Access to the course is provided by the Phoenix Learning Management System.

Face-to-Face Delivery

If you wish to attend class in person, please arrive on-campus 15 minutes prior to your scheduled class time. Please visit the reception office located in Cleaver House.
