Studying and Living in Perth
After classes most students take a break in a nearby cafe or visit one of the many city beaches. The excellent public transport system and relatively small population of friendly and welcoming people makes Perth one of the easiest and nicest cities to live, study and work. People come from all over the world and students can be assured to have endless opportunities to speak English and make friends with students from at least 40 different countries.
Getting To & From The Airport
Phoenix Academy offers an airport transfer service for any time of the day and any day of the week. We have experienced drivers that are able to either pick yourself up or a relative, and deliver them to the designated accommodation.
Getting to & from Perth Airport is easy. A free terminal transfer bus service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The journey takes approximately ten minutes to complete. Terminal transfer bus stops are located on the forecourt at Terminals 1, 3 & 4 , and in a new dedicated bus area close to Terminal 2.
Departing from Terminal 1 & 2, arriving at Terminal 3 & 4:
There are two terminal precincts at Perth Airport that are separated by a short, 15-minute drive: the T1/T2 precinct and the T3/T4 precinct.
If you need to transfer between T1/T2 and T3/T4, taxi and rideshare services are available on the respective terminal forecourts.
The terminal transfer bus operates every 20 minutes between 06:00am and 22:00pm and every 30 minutes between 22:00pm and 06:00am.

Getting Around
Perth prides itself on modern and efficient transport systems. Buses and trains are cheap and easy to use throughout the city and students find they can move around quickly. Students can also apply for a Transperth SmartRider Travel Card for heavily discounted fares on all bus, train and ferry transport routes (only valid for students studying more than 6 weeks).
Things to do in Perth
With endless cultural, recreation and outdoor activities students are never bored in Perth! Water sports include sailing, diving, fishing, surfing and kite-surfing or join tennis clubs and social sports teams such as beach volley- ball and football. Whatever your interest students are sure to take advantage of Perth’s amazing Mediterranean climate. For those interested in music and arts Perth attracts all of the major cultural events and festivals throughout the year. Weekends can also be spent visiting Rottnest Island or the beautiful forests, wineries and beaches of the southwest region just a few hours from Perth.
